This workshop is the hands-on portion of the official American Heart Association [AHA], Pediatric Advanced Life Support [PALS] course. Upon completion, participants will receive an official AHA PALS Provider card. This PALS Heart Code course requires completion of an online module followed by hands-on testing. Faculty will be pediatric anesthesiologists and AHA PALS Instructors. At this meeting, we will first provide a review lecture covering all of the key guidelines. A brief required session will test the learners in Pediatric Basic Life Support and Automatic External Defibrillator use. The learners will then be divided into groups for PALS testing. After an orientation to the equipment, all PALS scenarios will be facilitated using high-fidelity manikins and real defibrillators.

All participants MUST additionally purchase [current cost $132] and successfully complete the entire online module [estimated at 7.5 hours], as well as bring a certificate of completion to the hands-on session of this Meeting.
